Venture clienting A way for corporations to work with startups as early customers — running a focused pilot to solve a real business need.

Need / Pain point A concrete business challenge submitted into the platform. Needs are the raw material that become projects.

Project A structured initiative to solve one need — from sourcing startups through evaluation, PoC, and (if successful) implementation.

PoC (Proof of Concept) A focused pilot that tests a startup’s solution against the need. A project is a PoC once it reaches PoC Execution stage or beyond.

In Library A company that is already part of a list or project in your GlassDollar workspace.

Standalone list A list that is not connected to a project — an independent collection used for exploration, inspiration, or early shortlisting.

Public List A tab in Lists for creating open challenges shared publicly. Startups apply via a link or QR code — submissions are collected for review.

Sourcing order A commissioned sourcing list built by GlassDollar’s analysts. Requires sourcing credits, purchased separately.

Connection request When you reach out to a startup via their profile, the request is tracked in Your Companies → Connection requests.

Benchmark A ranked, side-by-side comparison of companies against defined criteria — used for vendor selection.

Landscape A structured map of a solution space, organised into AI-generated categories — used for exploring a new or unfamiliar topic.

Innovation Hub Your organisation’s shareable internal space for explaining venture clienting and collecting innovation needs.

Project Health Automatic status indicator (🟢 Green / 🟡 Amber / 🔴 Red) showing whether a project is progressing or stalling. Modes: Automatic, Custom, or Manual.
